- Assists recovery from injury and illness
- Improves muscle strength, endurance and performance
Courses run in half termly blocks of 6 or 7 weeks
All classes are mixed ability and require an individual assessment prior to participation to assess suitability for inclusion into the class. No previous Pilates experience is necessary.
1:1 and 1:2 pilates sessions with our Chartered Physiotherpists are available at our Chichester clinic. Programmes are tailor made to suit your requirements, using matwork and small equipment and or the pilates reformer.
The reformer is a verstaile pilates machine which enables patients to carry out resisted pilates exercises for the whole body in a wide variety of positions.
Reformer Pilates is particularly useful for those who are unable to exercise in a lying position such as pregnant ladies or very frail patients. At the other end of the spectrum it can be used to carry out advanced strengthening and balance exercises in standing, for example for those wanting to prepare for the ski season.Back to Top
